Stacie Monroe is a native of Chattanooga, Tennessee. During her years at Surber, Barber, Choate and Hertlein Architects, P.C., Stacie managed a number of projects and won many awards for her work, including the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation's Award for Outstanding Preservation Project Award in 2000, for her work restoring ten of Georgia's covered bridges. Since she moved to Decatur and began re:FORM in 1999, Stacie has become well-known in the community for her local historic preservation work. She has been the recipient of numerous awards in Decatur, including the Leila Ross Wilburn Award for Outstanding Residential Design in 2004. Stacie was one of the original Founders and Board members of the Decatur Preservation Alliance, and spent several years designing and overseeing preservation projects in Decatur, including the saving and moving of the 19th century Fraser building.
